HORTENSIA ARMCHAIR PINK
The HORTENSIA ARMCHAIR PINK by Andrés Reisinger and Júlia Esqué is not a piece that asks for the room’s attention quietly. Covered in over 30,000 individually laser-cut petals in a warm, saturated rose pink, it is the most immediate version of an already bold design — the armchair as blooming Hortensia flower, in full colour, brought inside and given to function.
Pink as a Design Decision
In the HORTENSIA ARMCHAIR PINK, colour and form are inseparable. The 30,000-plus laser-cut petals that define the chair’s texture become, in rose pink, a single unified chromatic statement. Each petal is rounded and disc-shaped — visible, distinct, and individually laid by hand. In strong directional light, the petals cast fine shadows across one another and the surface becomes three-dimensional and restless. In softer ambient light, the chair settles into a single warm mass of colour, grounding everything around it.
The moulded foam and metal frame beneath give the Hortensia its enveloping, stable form — deeply comfortable, low-slung, and fully supportive. The blush pink version shown here represents one colour option within a wider range of fabrics and leathers. Styling the HORTENSIA ARMCHAIR PINK
The HORTENSIA ARMCHAIR PINK belongs in spaces built around a strong colour story. In a room with dusty rose walls, terracotta accents, or warm neutral tones, the chair anchors the palette without competing. In a predominantly white or grey interior, a single pink Hortensia becomes the room’s entire colour decision — everything else steps back. It reads equally well as the focal point of a living room, the statement piece in a dressing room, or a boudoir-inspired reading nook where comfort and drama are equally the brief.
At 107 cm wide and 95 cm deep, the Hortensia is a full-sized generous armchair — it does not understate itself in any dimension. As a pair, two pink Hortensia chairs flanking a console table, fireplace, or floor lamp create an enclosing, theatrical arrangement that makes a room feel deliberately composed.
