Covered entirely in over 30,000 individually laser-cut petals, its voluminous form evokes the dense, layered bloom of a Hortensia flower in full summer — simultaneously soft and structural, inviting and arresting. It is a chair that earns its position in a room by presence alone, before anyone has sat in it. 

30,000 Petals, One Armchair 

The silhouette of the HORTENSIA ARMCHAIR WHITEis immediately distinctive. A generously padded seat and back merge into broad, enveloping armrests — the whole form rounded and continuous, with no sharp angles and no visible structure. The base, fully upholstered in petals to floor level, extends the bloom downward in a single unbroken surface. Moulded foam over a metal frame gives the chair its characteristic stability and its deep, yielding comfort. Despite the sculptural appearance, it is designed to be sat in for long periods. 

Each of the 30,000-plus petals is precision laser-cut and laid by hand during production, creating a texture that responds to light differently throughout the day. Under strong directional light, the petals cast small shadows across one another and the surface becomes restless and three-dimensional. Placement and Scale 

At 107 cm wide and 95 cm deep, the HORTENSIA ARMCHAIR WHITE is a full-scaled, generous armchair — wide enough to seat one person with room to spare, deep enough for a fully reclined posture. The 76 cm back height is supportive without towering. It belongs in spaces that are not afraid of a strong object. A living room with neutral walls, a reading corner alongside floor lamps, or a hotel lobby where a single piece is expected to carry the room — these are its natural habitats. 

The Hortensia works as a standalone accent chair or as a pair: two chairs flanking a fireplace, a console table, or a low coffee table create a dialogue between form and enclosure that makes a room feel curated rather than furnished.
