The WAVE T TABLE BY JAIME HAYON began as an exercise in pure form — a mushroom-shaped ceramic side table stripped to its absolute essentials. In these two Black and Copper editions, Jaime Hayon takes that already-resolved silhouette and charges it with graphic energy, producing two objects that carry all the calm functionality of the original and an entirely new decorative personality.

The two decorations share a tonal world — deep glossy black, warm copper, and crisp white — but each tells a different story across the ceramic surface.

The WAVE T TABLE BY JAIME HAYON pairs a gloss black cap with a dark slate-navy body wrapped in bold copper triangular forms that rise from the base in sharp, confident V-shapes. The copper is not painted — it gleams with the same reflective quality as the black cap above it, giving the surface a two-tone metallic interplay that shifts dramatically with the angle of light. The composition is graphic and precise: a pattern rooted equally in mid-century decorative geometry and Hayon’s own instinct for pattern as architecture.

The WAVE T TABLE BY JAIME HAYON edition inverts the relationship: the cap becomes copper — a warm, mirror-polished rose-gold dome that commands the top of the form — while the black body below is crossed with bold diagonal white stripes that spiral around the cylinder in a rhythm both casual and exact. The copper cap’s edge catches light like a halo, rounding the top into something almost jewel-like when viewed from above.

Placed together, the two editions create an immediate still-life — a pair that rhymes without repeating, unified by palette and silhouette while each holding its own visual logic.
