CURLY T TABLE BY JAIME HAYON
In the CURLY T TABLE BY JAIME HAYON’s decorated editions, Jaime Hayon demonstrates what he has always understood better than most: that pattern is not decoration applied to an object, but a conversation between surface and form. These two editions — the Copper Scallop and the Gold Harlequin — take the iconic mushroom silhouette and dress it in two of the most historically resonant visual languages in European decorative art: the arch and the diamond. The results are objects that feel simultaneously contemporary and timeless, playful and considered, at home equally in a maximalist interior or as a single refined accent in a neutral space.
The Copper Scallop edition presents a deep rose-copper metallic cap — mirror-polished and warm, catching the light with the quiet authority of a burnished metal surface — above a body in the same copper tone, interrupted by bold white scallop arch shapes that repeat around the cylinder in an interlocking pattern echoing Moorish tilework, Gothic tracery, and the kind of repeating ornamental geometry that runs through centuries of craft tradition. The white cutouts give the copper ground room to breathe and glow, and the contrast between the two tones is as confident as it is elegant.
The CURLY T TABLE BY JAIME HAYON edition inverts the relationship between ground and figure. The body is predominantly white — clean, bright, a canvas — across which bold black diagonal lines form a harlequin diamond lattice, each diamond cell occupied by a gleaming gold metallic polka dot. The cap above is champagne gold, polished to a mirror finish that reflects everything around it with a warm amber cast. The pattern is festive without being frivolous, graphic without being cold. It carries the energy of a celebration and the restraint of a designer who knows when to stop.
Placed curly table home decor one another, the two editions create a composed still life: a pair in the same tonal family — copper, gold, white, black — that rhyme in palette while speaking in entirely different decorative dialects. Placed individually, each table stands completely on its own terms: a side surface for a sofa or chair, a low pedestal for a plant or object, or simply a sculptural presence that earns its place in a room without requiring anything to be placed on it at all. Available in three sizes for flexible grouping and placement throughout the home.
