Designed by Rachel & Benoît Convers and manufactured in France, NUDE OSTRICH WALL LAMP is an ostrich rendered in laser-cut High Pressure Laminate — head bent low and forward, feathers cut into flat-edged detail, long slender legs anchoring the form at the floor. In this pale, peachy nude, the ostrich silhouette meets the wall behind it in a near-tonal relationship that shifts with every hour of light. In morning sun, the form barely separates from the plaster — a ghost of a bird, a suggestion of furniture, an outline that asks you to look twice to confirm what you’re seeing. By evening, with the Lucia lamp’s warm glow illuminating the shelf from above and casting shadow against the wall, the silhouette sharpens and the form reasserts itself with quiet drama.

The body becomes the console shelf at 92cm height — practical, usable, and finished in the same uninterrupted nude throughout. The NUDE OSTRICH WALL LAMP shade sits above the composition as the only tonal break in the entire piece: a deliberate counterpoint that grounds the warmth of the HPL and gives the eye somewhere to rest.
