The NR2 WHITE FLOOR LAMP BY BERTJAN POT is the version that brightens before it is even switched on. Where the black colourway recedes and sharpens, white radiates — the woven fibreglass ellipsoid catching ambient light across its diamond lattice, each intersection of thread picking up whatever warmth exists in the room and returning it softly. Against dark walls or in a dim hallway, it functions as a natural counterweight to shadow, present and calming before the integrated LED is asked to do any work at all.

The form is the same as its darker sibling: the same elegant ellipsoid shade, compressed horizontally and generous in diameter at 56 cm, rising 164 cm above floor level on a slender powdercoated steel column that tapers smoothly into a graceful disc base. But in white the deco art lamp changes character entirely. It feels lighter — almost weightless — the mesh shade blending gently into pale interiors and floating above darker ones. Rooms that might find the black version too graphic or too deliberate will find white’s effect more seamless, more natural, more quietly architectural.
