The NR2 BLACK FLOOR LAMP BY BERTJAN POT is built on a deceptively simple premise: an art deco floor lamp that does not impose. The airy ellipsoid shade — woven from fine black fibreglass thread bound in epoxy resin into a precise diamond lattice — occupies space without claiming it. Light passes through. Views pass through. The room remains intact, and yet something entirely new is present within it.

The ellipsoid form floats atop a slender powdercoated steel column that tapers gracefully into a smooth disc base — a silhouette so clean it reads as drawn rather than engineered. From a distance, the NR2 BLACK FLOOR LAMP BY BERTJAN POT appears almost immaterial: a dark orbital shape suspended in the upper half of the room, its woven surface dissolving into the surroundings. When the integrated LED source warms into light, the character shifts entirely. The diamond-lattice weave begins to glow from within, each thread refracting the light outward in soft, graduated diffusion — subtle, directional, and genuinely magical in a way that solid-shaded deco art lamp simply cannot achieve.
