MOSS PINK LARGE VASE BY GAE TANO PESCE
There is nothing else quite like the MOSS PINK LARGE VASE BY GAE TANO PESCE. Drawing on a pioneering prototype by Italian design legend Gaetano Pesce, this large decorative pink vase sculpture is built entirely from a dense, freely tangled web of soft salmon-pink resin filaments — no solid wall, no flat surface, no predictable geometry. The structure is open, restless, and alive: thousands of looping threads interlace across the body and cascade outward at the flared base, evoking organic forms from the natural world — sea coral, lichen growth, root systems, or mycelium networks frozen mid-expansion.
The silhouette reads as a classic chalice form — wide cylindrical body tapering to a waist before flaring to a wide-footed base — but that familiar shape is rendered entirely unfamiliar through the radical transparency of the mesh. From a distance it reads as solid colour; up close, it dissolves into infinite layered depth.
Part of the Fish Design collection, each Moss Pink is made entirely by hand after the order is placed, with the model’s references maintained for colour and dimension. Because the filament structure is applied manually, every vase is genuinely unique — slight variations in hue distribution, thread density, and form are inherent to the process and expected.
