LOBSTER SCULPTURE BLUE

This LOBSTER SCULPTURE BLUE is one of the most arresting pieces in the debut Kings of the Sea collection — a series dedicated to the extraordinary creatures of the ocean’s depths. Created by sculptor José Luis Santes, it captures the lobster’s natural power in every claw and carapace with a precision that rivals the work of master naturalists. The finishing touch: a vivid gloss coat in luminous blue, accented with warm orange tones that bring the creature’s otherworldly beauty to the surface.

An Armored Form Rendered in Porcelain

The lobster has long inspired awe — not just for its flavor, but for the sheer architectural drama of its body. Santes interprets it as a knight in armor, and that reading is present in every detail of this piece. Every joint, every articulated claw, and every segment of the carapace is rendered with an attention to anatomy that elevates decorative art into something closer to natural history. At 17.717 inches wide and sculpted in fine porcelain with a gloss finish, this is a showpiece that commands its sideboard, shelf, or coffee table with unmistakable presence.

From Ocean Floor to Your Interior

This piece pairs naturally with coastal, eclectic, and curated collector interiors. Display it on a low sideboard where its impressive 17-inch span can be fully appreciated, or anchor a bookshelf vignette alongside sea-inspired objects and art books. As the first piece in the Kings of the Sea series alongside Crab — Red, the Lobster Blue sets the tone for a collection worth building over time. Each new piece Santes adds extends the story of the deep — this is a meaningful place to begin.
