Each branch of the HERACLEUM NICKEL PENDANT LIGHT BY BERTJAN POT terminates in a leaf-shaped polycarbonate lens. These lenses are powered by Electrosandwich® technology — a proprietary innovation developed by Marcel Wanders that drives energy-efficient illumination through an ultra-thin sandwiched layer system. The result is a soft, even glow distributed evenly across every leaf-shaped surface, giving the lamp a quality of diffused warmth that reads like filtered natural light. There is no glare, no hotspot — only the gentle luminescence of dozens of lit leaves. 

The wire frame itself is slender almost to invisibility: thin dark branches that hold their form through engineering rather than mass.
