Standing at 48 cm tall with a pair of dramatically outstretched feathered wings, this entirely handmade ceramic sculpture is as much a work of art as it is a decorative vase.

Glazed from base to wingtip in a shifting azure blue — pooling deeper at the feather tips and lightening to a bright cerulean across the body — the VASE OWL LIGHT BLUE catches light in a way that makes it appear subtly different at every hour of the day. The body is wrapped in overlapping rows of individually hand-sculpted elongated teardrop feathers, each ribbed with fine detail, building up the owl’s plumage with extraordinary naturalistic fidelity. At the crown, a row of rounded knobs frames the open rim before the wide fan wings radiate outward in sweeping arcs of detailed featherwork. The pedestal base is anchored by sculpted talon and claw motifs, adding a final layer of creature mythology to the composition.
