The Snake Edison Skull Lamp
When two artists set out to adorn their gothic home with bones and dark beauty, they created something the world had never quite seen before. The Snake Edison Skull Lamp is that creation — the iconic, handmade sculptural table lamp from The Blackened Teeth that has captivated over 7,500 Etsy admirers and earned its place as one of the most distinctive novelty lamps in the dark décor world.
Hand-painted and finished in a bold, durable gloss black, this piece features a plaster skull base dramatically entwined with a snake — a creature long associated with mystery, transformation, and the macabre across cultures and throughout art history. Every lamp is handcrafted to order by a small team of artisans in their South Wales workshop, ensuring each piece carries the unmistakable warmth of true handmade artistry. The lampshade is made by a fellow Welsh craftsperson and is available in your choice of copper, gold, or white inner — copper and gold casting a gorgeously warm, amber glow ideal for boho lamp arrangements and deco art lamp aesthetics, while the white inner delivers a cooler, brighter illumination.
Standing 55cm tall with shade included, this wooden home decor-worthy statement piece weighs a solid 3.4kg — built to impress and built to last. The skull measures 14cm wide × 20cm deep, and the lampshade diameter is 30cm, perfectly proportioned for bedside tables, desks, or as a gothic living room centrepiece.

There is something so deeply romantic about a lamp built from stacked books — as if knowledge itself is illuminating the room. The warm golden light spilling from that black shade onto my vintage leather collection and antique clock creates the most incredibly atmospheric and cozy reading corner imaginable. Every evening I sit beside it feels like a perfect intimate ritual. This lamp genuinely feeds my soul.

Stop what you’re doing and buy it immediately! This is hands down the coolest lamp I’ve ever owned. It’s creepy, chic, and incredibly premium all at once. The details on the skull and snake are gorgeous, and the black shade filters the perfect cozy, mysterious lighting. It looks like an expensive boutique find. If you want your home decor to have some serious attitude, this stunning lamp is worth every penny!
