The face is immediately distinct. Where the Brazza series builds around vertical drama and a long muzzle, the PRIMATES KANDTI GLOSSY LIGHT BLUE CERAMIC WITH METAL DETAILS VASE is almost entirely circular — a wide, moon-like face from which deeply ribbed ceramic ridges radiate outward in every direction, like the ruff of a snow monkey or the rays of an arctic sun. The entire surface of face and body is finished in a pale ice blue glaze, its gloss making the ribbed texture shimmer and shift across changing light conditions.

A deep teal band with raised-dot texture arcs across the upper forehead, grounding the pale face with a band of saturated colour. A small smooth rounded protrusion crowns the head — understated, almost cartoonish, and entirely characteristic of Salmistraro’s playful design vocabulary.

The eye surround is a large, polished copper-rose gold oval — framing both eyes in a single continuous goggle-like form that reads as simultaneously mechanical and animalistic.
